Algerian Getaway: hotel riadh

A little while ago, I went to algeria and was delighted to enjoy the perfect weather and the peaceful beaches as the high season did not start yet. I went to hotel riadh in the suburbs of algiers and really loved the experience. This hotel is of course very different from the ones you can see in Dubai or Paris in terms of luxury and standards, however it has a lot of character and personality and i really enjoyed my afternoon at the beach and pool. If you happen to be in algeria, hotel riadh is located in sidi fredj.

Fred rings copycat

As you might have seen, Fred, the jewellery brand, has launched a serie of rings based on kate moss's tattoos. I found the collection very cute and the rings look nice worn all together. I love thin designs and these particular rings have small diamonds engraved that look very cute. One day as I was in Galleries Lafayette in Paris, I passed by the Fred booth and thought it would be an occasion to try them rings. The sales lady told me the costed 510 euros. I remember telling myself that I would rather spend those euros in a pair of louboutin than in such a tiny diamonds. That beeing said; I received an email from groupon yesterday, promoting tiny diamond rings for 29 euros. I was like WHAT?? I clicked and then saw that the 29 euros diamond ring is a copy cat of the Fred ring but from another jeweller. Well I can't resist when I see that big of a bargain, so I went on and ordered two for 49 euros. I dunno what to expect and will show some pics when i receive them. For now, looking at the snapshots form both websites, I don't see the difference. ( copycat below from Mazal Diamonds)

Cheap buys=High impact

On a day to day basis; I like to mix highs and lows and usually invest in shoes or bags. Now for other accessories; I love buying stuff from high street brands or your average chinese shop when you can make super finds. This was the case with those earrings that remind me a lot of Wayed Vintage style and that I always get complimented about. Just love them, especially knowing that they costed 2 or 3 euros :-)

Lebanese designer Rami Zakhem

I recently was introduced to the lebanese designer Rami Zakhem that managed to make his way to hollywood by dressing up celebrities for the Academy Awards and other occasions. What I like about him is that he also makes haute couture curves friendly and it is very rare in that field where size 0 is the size to be. I am also very proud to see a middle easterner succed!! Cheers to more successes to come!!
